 I
have been in private practice as a counsellor for the
past 10 years, offering counselling to individuals, couples and groups.In addition to my work in private practice, I am employed by a commercial organisation providing management of employee assistance programmes, which offer counselling and advice to staff within the work place. My background is in the voluntary sector, where I have considerable experience of setting up and leading self help groups and working extensively with volunteers and charities. My orientation is integrative, which means I have studied different counselling approaches and theories. My specialisms include person centred and brief solution focused work. I have experience of working with a short number of sessions and working open ended over a longer period of time. |

| Supervision | |||||
| I have a Diploma in Clinical Supervision and Consultancy and offer clinical supervision to independent counsellors, groups and organisations. I have provided supervision to voluntary organizations, such as drug and alcohol agencies, womens groups etc. Supervision can also be provided by telephone or email. | |||||

As a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and the UK Register of Counsellors, I abide by their ethical framework and complaints procedures. I also carry full professional indemnity and public liability insurance. |
